The Waterline Process

Designed before
we dig.

Most contractors show up, eyeball the yard, and dig where it looks convenient. We don't. Every Waterline install starts with a walked diagnostic, a measured plan, and a flat-quote you can read line by line — so you know exactly what we're installing, why, and what it should hold up to.

  • 01
Diagnose on siteWe walk the lot, run the zones, mark the flow paths, photograph what's failing — before any quote is written.

Anatomy

How a Waterline French drain is actually built.

Schedule 40 perforated PVC, woven filter sock, washed river rock. The unsexy details that make the difference between a 2-year fix and a 25-year one.

Driveway runoff → flush slab drain

Every storm pushed sheet water across the driveway and into the garage. New surface drain set flush in the slab catches it at the low point and carries it out. Dry approach, no more pooling.

FAQ

Common questions.

How fast can you come out for an estimate?

Most weeks we are on site within 2–4 business days for non-emergency estimates and same-day for true emergencies (active flooding, broken main line). All estimates are free.

Do you actually do the install, or sub it out?

All Waterline crew. We don't farm out drainage or irrigation work. The person who quotes you is the person whose name is on the warranty.

What does a French drain typically cost in DFW?

Most residential French drain projects in the Mid-Cities run $2,500–$4,250 installed, or roughly $25–$35 per linear foot for exterior surface drains. Larger projects with grading work can reach $15,000–$25,000. We always quote a flat number — no surprise hours.

Which cities do you serve?

Southlake, Colleyville, Irving, Bedford, Flower Mound, Coppell, plus Hurst, Euless, Grapevine, Keller, North Richland Hills, Las Colinas, and Lewisville. ZIP not on the list? Drop it in the quote form and we'll let you know.

Do you handle the city rebate paperwork for smart controllers?

Yes. For Irving, Coppell, Bedford, Flower Mound, and most other DFW cities offering rebates ($100–$250), we file the paperwork on your behalf as part of the install. Full guide on our rebates page.

What's your warranty?

Lifetime workmanship warranty on installed drainage and irrigation lines. Manufacturer warranty on parts (typically 1–5 years). If something we installed fails because of how we installed it, we fix it free.
